Biografie
Favino wurde in Rom, Italien, geboren. Seit den frühen 1990er-Jahren wirkte er in über vierzig europäischen Filmen und Fernsehserien mit, darunter Gabriele Muccinos „Der letzte Kuss“, Gianni Amelios „Die Schlüssel zum Haus“, Giuseppe Tornatores „Die Unbekannte“ und Ferzan Özpeteks „Saturn in Opposition“. 1999 spielte er die Hauptrolle in dem HBO-Film „Excellent Cadavers“, der Verfilmung von Alexander Stilles gleichnamigem Roman. Für seine Rolle in dem Kriminalfilm „Romanzo Criminale“ unter der Regie von Michele Placido erhielt er 2006 den David di Donatello – das italienische Pendant zum Oscar.
